Biking Better than Ballroom Dancing!

Report on my biking “Reform Movement”.   It’s been a little over two weeks and while I started at 2 miles a day and my butt WAS SO SORE, now I’m up to 5-6 miles a day and have to force myself to turn around and ride home.

I have bike accessories!! I bought a bike air horn, a bike bag, and a side mirror, which is great on busy roads, to be able to look back and see what’s coming.

I have lost another 3 pounds – have discovered new neighborhoods I didn’t know existed, but the best part is the BUZZ YOU GET from REAL EXERTION!

It’s like all my cells are vibrating with joy when I get back from a long ride.  And the colder weather just improves the buzz, and also keeps the sweat level down, which is great because I hate the sweat running into my eyes.

Sounds impossible, but I swear my hair is growing faster and my nails are also.

The new apps that are available for iphone and Droids are great, too.  It’s fun to try and beat your own record from the day before on:  going farther, going faster (MPH).  This wonderful app – icyclist also TALKS TO YOU – and says, “you have burned 200 calories”.   LOVE IT!!
