Shannon invited me to participate with her team at a 2-mile ALS Benefit Walk in Hollywood, Florida. We ran in memory of her friend’s Mom, who died in 14 months after being diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease).
Before the race/walk, I took the beagles out for a 1 mile walk…. and then at 6pm, after the event, when I was totally exhauted, the twins came over so I took them out with the beagles for another mile!
AND WHAT DO I HAVE TO SHOW FOR IT?? I lost 3 pounds and 1% bodyfat over the last 4 days. In addition, I have two blisters, and I did finally run out of energy and went to bed at 9 pm on Saturday night…
I am also continuing with my extremely low-fat, totally plant-based diet so something is working!
This morning I walked the dogs for 1.6 miles and will hit the pool for an hour at lunch.
It’s funny how the tiniest improvement is so motivating to continue!!
